Bedell Introduces Lola
Bedell Guitars adds a new media addition to the family, Lola. Lola is an Airstream trailer that will offer a media powerhouse…on wheels. R.A. Beattie, a filmmaker and founder of Off The Grid Studios, had an idea of a portable studio that provided all production needs in a sustainably green manner. After his search high and low for the perfect fit, he finally found Lola.
Lola the Airstream trailer is currently undergoing a makeover to become sustainable and media capable. Her interior will consist of low-impact materials, such as bamboo and wood salvaged from the Pacific Northwest. Power will be generated through solar panels along with a biodiesel generator.
After learning about Beattie’s green project, the team at Bedell wanted to be apart of it. Bedell is proud to sponsor the sustainable Airstream trailer named Lola. Lola will be utilized as not only a traveling filmmakers dream, but also an artist’s recording haven. The trailer will be outfitted with a recording booth, along with full functioning audio controls designed by Off The Grid Studios Audio Engineer, Jeremiah Pierson. The desk and multifunctioning workspace will consist of Big Leaf Maple sustainably sourced from Bedell’s very own Cyril Jacobs. The idea of this mobile endeavor is to produce content on the go with full capabilities and encourage artists to drop in and record, no matter where they are.
Be sure to keep an eye out for Lola at the Sisters Folk Festival in September! Until then, follow her through the renovation process
