Artist Olivia Frances Independent Music Awards Nomination
Music Resource Group (MRG) announced the Nominees in The 16th annual Independent Music Awards (The IMA’s), the influential honors for independent artists and releases. More than 400 innovative self-released and indie label projects were submitted online and nominated by fans and industry panelists.
Pop/folk singer-songwriter and musician Olivia Frances is Fan-Nominated in the Love Song category for her original song, “Moon to My Sun.”
“Moon to My Sun” is Frances’s first single of a group of new songs to be released throughout 2018; available on all music streaming platforms including Spotify and iTunes.
With a simple melody inspired by the beauty and mystery of love, this track is sweet and thrilling all at once. It captures Frances’s impeccable storytelling skills and her ability to completely captivate the listener.
Written on her dorm room floor, “Moon to my Sun” arose from an ordinary night of guitar practice and turned into the makings of an ethereal love song. After submitting it to the Nashville Songwriters Association International, Frances gained recognition and was placed on the NSAI One’s to Watch list in July 2017.
Produced, engineered, and mixed by Pat Lassiter at Riverfront Recording in Nashville, TN.
Session musicians: William Ellis (drums), Tim Galloway (guitar), and Mike Holmes (piano).
Frances is ecstatic to be nominated alongside other talented artists, including, Big Little Lions, Carolina Calvache, Megan O’Neill and Sad Daddy in the Love Song category!
